Conservation of decorative surfaces course

ATHAR and MOSAIKON (Conservation of Mosaics in the Mediterranean), are offering a course on Conservation and Management of Mosaics on Archaeological Sites, to enhance professional capacity in this field in the region.
The course will provide participants with an understanding of the range of issues that affect the preservation of in-situ archaeological mosaics. Implemented in three phases over the span of approximately ten months, the course is designed to provide learning and practical experience in both classroom and field setting and will train local specialists in the conservation of mosaics.
Please note that participants are required to take part in all three phases of the course. A certificate of attendance will be given to those participants who successfully complete all phases of the course.
ATHAR programme course cycle
The ATHAR programme proposes a cycle of three course composed of the core regional course, followed by two specialized courses. Attendance on a core regional course is a prerequisite for participating on the specialized courses.
Endorsing institutions should note that applicants are expected to complete the full cycle of the three courses.
