Contributing to strategic directions
1. Enhancing the capacity of national cultural heritage institutions in Member States to achieve their goals
- At least eighty professionals from cultural heritage institutions in Latin America are involved in programme activities as participants and resource people
- At least six institutions in Latin America are involved in planning and implementing the programme activities
2. Encouraging risk preparedness, preventive conservation, and maintenance strategies in Member States
- At least one programme activity will have the issues of preventive conservation, risk preparedness and maintenance strategies as one of its core themes
- At least ten web-based items on risk preparedness, preventive conservation and maintenance strategies are disseminated through the programme website
3. Promoting integrated approaches to conservation of cultural heritage
- All programme activities will have the promotion of integrated approaches to conservation as one of their core objectives
- Participants and resource people in the programme activities come from at least five professional areas of specializations
4. Increasing access to information about conservation, for professionals and wider audiences
- All programme activities will focus on knowledge building and dissemination
- The programme website will pool information on resources produced in the region, including material from at least ten institutions
- Each activity will generate at least one web-based item (teaching and learning materials, bibliographies and glossaries of terminology). All of these will be accessible in Spanish and at least half in another language of Latin America
