At the invitation of the Government of Colombia a launch meeting will be scheduled for Cartagena, Colombia during the second quarter of 2008. At this meeting, the programme will be presented to institutions and professionals from the region and potential financial and operational partners.

This meeting will serve to give the new programme a proper launch and increased visibility, as well as orient its long-term action plan. In addition, a number of working sessions have been scheduled to take place on the occasion of the launch meeting. Proposals for the programme framework and management tools for its development, implementation and monitoring will be discussed during these sessions. Moreover the meeting will help launch the five specific activities planned for the biennium, for which specific working groups will be organised.
