On 20 November, Prof Luigi Nicolais, President of the National Research Council (CNR), Italy, visited ICCROM and met with the Director-General, Stefano De Caro. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between CNR and ICCROM. In attendance: Bruno Pisani, Manager of Finance and Administration, Catherine Antomarchi, Director of the Collections Unit, Maria Teresa Jaquinta, Liaison Officer (Co-operation with Italy) and Joe King, Sites Unit Director.

On 16 November, ICCROM welcomed a group of six professionals from Jordan and Tunisia specialized in the conservation of mosaics. The group was in Italy to attend an advanced course on the conservation of lifted mosaics organized by the Centro di Conservazione Archaeologica (CCA). They are undertaking the first term of the course within the framework of the MOSAIKON programme.
The group was composed of:

- Nihad Hendawi, the Jordan Museum (Amman)

- Weslati Anis, Institute National du patrimonie de la Tunisie, Musee de Sousse

- Maria Giovanna Perrottu, CCA
- Roberto Nardi, Director, CCA
The group was accompanied by Gael de Guichen, special advisor to the Director-General.

On 13 November, the Director-General, Stefano De Caro, received the visit of H.E. David Lane, Ambassador, and of Mr Stetson A. Sanders, First Secretary and Alternate Permanent Representative of the United States Mission to the UN Agencies in Rome.
Ambassador Lane was interviewed by the ICCROM/Invitalia Team composed of: Mr Paolo di Nola, Operating Manger, Ms Manuela Appolloni and Mr Giuseppe Smargiassi, Project Managers and Mr Vito Palanga and Ms Teresa del Pizzo, staff members of Invitalia. Also in attendance: Maria Teresa Jaquinta, Liaison Officer (Co-operation with Italy) and Joe King, Sites Unit Director.
