ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property) and Fondazione Santagata are organizing a Summer School on Post-Conflict Recovery, consisting of a week of online lectures and a three-day in-person workshop.
Starting today, multidisciplinary teams from climate hotspots in Brazil, Egypt, India, Sudan and Uganda and their “sherpas” (mentors) are gathered at ICCROM headquarters for a hybrid three-week workshop on “Developing Integrated Strategies for Heritage Safeguard, Climate Action, Disaster Risk Reduction and Peacebuilding.”

We are happy to announce that the United States has contributed close to $250,000 to benefit ICCROM’s efforts in building Ukrainian capacity to recover and safeguard its cultural heritage. The funding is part of the US Department of State’s $7 million investment in its recently announced Ukraine Cultural Heritage Response Initiative.
On 30 March 2023, ICCROM Director-General Webber Ndoro had the honour of meeting with Clemente Contestabile, the Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Culture of Italy, who was accompanied by Erminia Sciacchitano, Advisor for Multilateral Affairs, Minister’s Cabinet, and Riccardo Luciani, Member of the Technical Secretariat of the Ministry.
On 29 March, ICCROM-Sharjah Director Zaki Aslan happily received a delegation from the National Cultural Heritage Administration (NCHA) of China at the ICCROM Regional Office in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
