Ending civil-strife and sustaining peace is a global priority, as articulated in the UN Sustainable Development Agenda 2030, through its Goal 16. History, however, points to a different reality: nearly half of all peace agreements signed since the second half of the 20th century have resulted in conflict relapse.
On 12th of February 2020 the Director-General received the visit of Ms Daniela Porro, Soprintendente Speciale Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio di Roma, and Alessandro Mascherucci, Architect in charge of the Portion of San Michele Complex.
On 26th of November the Director-General received the visit of Philippine Ambassador to Italy, H.E. Domingo Nolasco, and of Andrei Bauzon, Alternate Permanent Representative, Permanent Representation of the Philippines to the UN Agencies in Rome.
On 21st of November the Director-General received the visit of H.E. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki Al Jehani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Italy and Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the UN Agencies in Rome.
On Friday 25 October 2019 ICCROM received the visit of the Ambassador of Costa Rica H.E. Ronald Flores, Ms Carla Sierra Zúñiga, Counsellor, Cultural Affairs, and Ms Sofia Soto Maffioli, Director, Museo de Arte Costarricense.
