Archaeology at Durham is building upon its current research and teaching strengths by appointing a full-time Assistant Professor in the field of Historical Archaeology [Grades 7/8]. The post-holder will expand current strengths and develop world-class research and teaching in the field of historical archaeology. We particularly welcome applications from those working in the fields of historical and social archaeology, specialising in North America and/or the West Indies and/or Africa, or the Baltic World, with a research and teaching track record in themes such as colonialism and slavery; transatlantic connections, trade and commercialisation; or industrialisation. The closing date is the 20th December 2019. Interviews will be in March 2020.
