Postdoctoral research fellow position in conservation science in ICCH of Shanghai University

Two postdoctoral research fellow positions are available in Prof. Xiao Ma's Group in the Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage (ICCH) of Shanghai University, on the following research topics:
Development of new materials for conservation purposes (i.e., consolidation, grouting or cleaning materials)
Deterioration mechanism of cultural heritage materials (i.e., pigments, building materials)
Archaeological science (focused on ancient building materials)
The postdoctoral position may begin on or after September 1st, 2021, and will end August 31st, 2023 (negotiable).

Aged under 35, candidates should have a Ph. D (or be able to obtain a Ph. D degree before the position starts) in one of those fields: materials science, chemistry, physics, civil engineering, or other cultural heritage conservation related research fields. The degree must have been obtained within the last three years.
Good English written and verbal communication skills.
Proven record of research and writing ability.
Familiarity with scientific instrumentation such as FTIR, Raman, optical microscopy is preferred.
A strong interest in conservation science and previous experience in cultural heritage conservation science is desirable.
Willing to learn Chinese.
Complete relevant scientific research projects.
Assist in applying for research grants, developing research projects, assist with supervising undergraduate and graduate students, participate in laboratory management.
The annual salary is no less than 200,000 RMB (before tax), the specific amount to be determined through negotiation with the supervisor.
Support from supervisor on application for national, provincial, and municipal postdoctoral talent projects and research projects.
Necessary office, scientific research, and experimental conditions.
