Access limitations in museums, archives and collections

Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology University of Cambridge
Dr Ayesha Fuentes, Isaac Newton Trust Research Associate in Conservation, Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Cambridge is currently running a very short and anonymous survey on experiences of restricted access to museums, archives and other collections of cultural materials. This initial survey is 5 questions and oriented towards researchers, artists, community representatives, students, educators -- museum colleagues as well -- and hopes to understand how institutions communicate about their priorities as well as their resources. The results of this survey will be circulated via online platforms, professional working groups and/or publications. The second part of this research will address the specific nature of access restrictions, including their function, language and implementation.
