UNESCO and ICCROM join forces with the Maidan Museum of Kyiv to support Ukraine’s museums

UNESCO, ICCROM and the Maidan Museum in Kyiv (Ukraine) have translated the manual Endangered Heritage: Emergency Evacuation of Heritage Collections (Спадщина у небезпеці – Екстрена евакуація культурних цінностей), into Ukrainian. UNESCO will support the distribution of some 2,000 printed copies across Ukraine, to areas with no or limited internet access.

11. travnja 2022. – Hrvatski konzervatori u suradnji s Javnom vatrogasnom postrojbom u Trogiru nastavljaju s provedbom projekta „Smanjivanje rizika od požara u povijesnom gradu Trogiru“ pa je tako proteklog vikenda u Zbirci sakralne umjetnosti Župe sv. Lovre održana edukativna radionica te simulacija požara i spašavanja umjetnina.

Luego de agradecer a la representación de instituciones internacionales por su participación, la ministra Milagros Germán, manifestó que “nos sentimos honrados de poder inaugurar este Seminario Internacional sobre el Patrimonio Arquitectónico en Madera del Gran Caribe, ya que el patrimonio arquitectónico vernáculo, que tiene sus raíces en el bohío indígena, es una parte esencial de nuestra memoria histórica”.

El acto inaugural, celebrado en el auditorio del Instituto Eduardo Latorre del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, lo encabezó la ministra de Cultura, Milagros Germán, quien estuvo acompañada en la mesa principal por el viceministro de Patrimonio Cultural, Gamal Michelén; el embajador rector del Instituto de Educación Superior en Formación Diplomática y Consular, José Rafael Espaillat; Pablo F. Longoria, presidente de World Monuments Fund España; Antonio Pérez Hernández, embajador de España; María Luisa Benítez Donoso, representante de la Segunda Jefatura de la Unión Europea, y Valerie Magar, representante del ICCROM.
