Nevra Ertürk

Ms Nevra Ertürk, from Turkey was at ICCROM until early July 2014 to carry out her Postdoctoral research on ‘Developing Standards for the Reorganization of Museum Storage Areas in Turkey and Storage Management’.

Nevra holds a Bachelor in Classical Archaeology from Istanbul University, a Master in Museum Studies from Yildiz Technical University and a PhD in Architectural History and Theory, also from Yildiz Technical University.

She previously carried out the World Bank ProVention Consortium project on the protection of museum collections against earthquakes in the museums of Istanbul. From 2009-2011, she was Assistant Director of the Research Centre for the Preservation of Historical Heritage, Yildiz Technical University. She is currently assistant professor at the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Art Works, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul.

Nevra is also an ICCROM alumna, having attended the 2005 course in Rome on Preventive Conservation: Reducing Risks to Collections, and guest lecturing in the 2007 edition of the same course held in Sibiu, Romania.
