Xingyu Mu

ICCROM welcomes Xingyu Mu who is carrying out a fellowship with us until 31 December 2018.

Xingyu has a doctorate in “History and Restoration in Architecture” from the University “La Sapienza” in Rome, Italy. Her thesis was on “the conservation of historical cities in China: the case study of Wuhan, new methods and criteria in reference to the principles of architectural and urban restoration in Italy.”

While at ICCROM, Xingyu’s research focused on a comparison in the field of urban restoration: the western concept of genius loci and its counterpart in the traditional Chinese culture.
