New Programme of Activities and Budget for ICCROM approved

ICCROM’s Programme of Activities and Budget (PAB) for the 2020-2021 biennium has been approved by the 31st General Assembly. For the next two years ICCROM will be operating in adherence to the Strategic Directions set out by ICCROM Council in 2017. There have been conscious importance placed on effective planning and setting priorities to ensure the highest efficiency and impact of its work.

Three flagship programmes, namely First Aid and Resilience for Cultural Heritage in Times of Crisis (FAR), World Heritage Leadership (WHL), and the Conservation and Management of Archaeological and Architectural Heritage in the Arab Region (ATHAR) Programme will form the main trunk of programme activities.

Prospective programmes that are starting up include the Regional Programme for Youth in Africa, Heritage Management in Latin America and the Caribbean, Sustainability and Built Heritage, Sustaining Digital Heritage, and Our Collections Matter. ICCROM aims to increase Training partnerships with Member States by at least 5-10% in the next biennium.

To continuously strengthen the organization for the future, ICCROM will move forward with making various administrative improvements regarding human resources policies, reorganization and resource mobilization.

ICCROM thanks all member states for their continuous engagement and support for all the important work, and explores further collaboration in diverse forms including financial, technical and human resources support.
