From 2 to 7 October 2023, the ICCROM-IUCN World Heritage Leadership (WHL) programme, together with George Town World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI) and in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) of Korea and the Korea National University of Cultural Heritage (KNUCH), organized the first training of trainers workshop on World Heritage management.

The Fifth Conference for Euro-African Academic Partnerships brought together African university leaders and young talents equipped with expertise in agricultural and cultural sciences, research, conservation, and the enhancement of landscape heritage to forge connections among countries and lay the foundation for progress in these critical domains.

Since the creation of our Internship and Fellows Programme in 2002, more than 200 people have benefited from the experience of undertaking a period of personal development with ICCROM. During the third quarter of 2023, in addition to those fellows and volunteers who continued their work, we welcomed five new interns.

Together with the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA), we are organizing an international Summer School to save energy for cultural heritage institutions.

ICCROM invites applications for the 2024 ICCROM-Sharjah Award for good practices in cultural heritage conservation and management in the Arab Region.
