The World Heritage Leadership (WHL) programme is launching a second edition of the Heritage Place Lab (HPL), focused on strengthening networks across research and site management in the context of the World Heritage Convention. We invite World Heritage site managers who are seeking collaborations with researchers to improve their management processes and decision-making.
As part of the ICCROM Digital Transformation Initiative, this platform opens doors to over 1,000 samples of wall paintings from heritage sites and monuments in more than 30 countries.

On 15 April the International Conference on "Fostering Italy-Africa relations: enhancing business and cultural exchange" took place. This significant event was jointly organized by the Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali and ICCROM.
On the 18-19 April 2024, ICCROM headquarters hosted the Annual World Heritage Leadership Donor Group Meeting. The meeting was convened to deliberate on the progress, administration, and collaboration among key stakeholders, namely Norway, ICCROM, and IUCN, under the framework of the World Heritage Leadership (WHL) programme.
On 18 April, ICCROM's Director-General, Aruna Francesca Maria Gujral, welcomed Daniela Porro, Soprintendente Speciale Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio di Roma.
On 16 April 2024, ICCROM Director-General had the honour of receiving the Chargé d'Affaires Mr Alejandro Luppino, Counselor of the Argentine Embassy and Mr Lucas Ricardo Paviolo, Secretary of the Embassy.
On 16 April 2024, the Director-General of ICCROM met with representatives from the Beijing Forestry University School of Landscape Architecture, including Professor Xi Zheng, Dean, and Professor Xin Cao. The purpose of the meeting was to deepen collaborative efforts and activate the Memorandum of Understanding established between the two institutions in 2023.
On 12 April 2024, ICCROM's Director-General, Aruna Francesca Maria Gujral, welcomed Franck K. Ogou, Director of EPA-Ecole du Patrimoine Africain, to discuss significant advancements in safeguarding Africa's cultural heritage.
