بحث وفد ضم ممثلي مؤسسات ثقافية حكومية في إمارة الشارقة، برئاسة الشيخ فاهم القاسمي، رئيس دائرة العلاقات الحكومية، فرص التعاون والعمل المشترك مع المركز الدولي لدراسة صون وترميم الممتلكات الثقافية، «آيكروم»، وعدد من المؤسسات الثقافية في روما، حيث استعرض الوفد مشاريع المؤسسات الثقافية التي تمثل الشارقة، والجهود التي تقودها الإمارة لحماية وصون التراث الثقافي وفق خطط تنموية شاملة ومستدامة.

To enhance global cooperation in the preservation of cultural heritage and underscore Sharjah's initiatives and journey in safeguarding and maintaining heritage, representatives from Sharjah's cultural institutions have explored avenues for collaboration and partnerships with the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) and cultural institutions in Rome, Italy.
The delegation, led by Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations (DGR) in Sharjah, highlighted the emirate’s projects and efforts to protect and preserve cultural heritage through comprehensive and sustainable development plans.

Aparna Tandon is Senior Program Leader at ICCROM, the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property. There she works to reduce heritage disaster risk and leads its flagship initiative, First Aid and Resilience for Cultural Heritage in Times of Crisis. Tandon has also led emergency responses and in-crisis training in ten different countries, including most recently Ukraine in 2022. Additionally, she has authored several publications and handbooks on cultural heritage preservation.

The Department of Government Relations (DGR) in Sharjah, has outlined the vision and strategies the emirate has put in place to strengthen the integration of culture, art and local heritage in its journey of inclusive sustainable development, with leading international organisations.

A collaboration between the University of Glasgow and ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property) brought together global heritage experts and economists to discuss the value of culture and heritage in Rome.

ICCROM and the School of Landscape Architecture of Beijing Forestry University have formally signed a cooperation agreement with ICCROM (The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property), aiming at encouraging educational and research cooperation between BFU and ICCROM in heritage and landscape conservation.

Den globala expertorganisationen för kulturarv, ICCROM, kommer de kommande åren att fokusera på kulturarvets motståndskraft vid kriser. Det beslutades vid generalförsamlingsmötet i Rom. Två medarbetare från Riksantikvarieämbetet deltog på mötet.

Delegater från Sverige och ett 80-tal andra länder samlades i Rom när ICCROM höll sitt 33:e generalförsamlingsmöte. Här fastställdes organisationens nya styrelse och den nya verksamhetsplanen för att främja och utveckla kulturarvsarbetet globalt.
