THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS IS NOW OPEN!

We are thrilled to announce that the CH4IG Project: UK-Southeast Asia is now accepting applications until 31 August 2022, 6 p.m. CET.

Heritage can be instrumental in enhancing social inclusion, developing intercultural dialogue and shaping the identity of a territory.

Cultural Heritage for Inclusive Growth (CH4IG) seeks to pioneer new ways for communities to actively share and protect their heritage while creating inclusive and sustainable growth.

In January 2022, in response to the British Council’s call for proposals from relevant heritage organizations and academic institutions, ICCROM – in partnership with institutional partners in Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom – presented a project aiming to assess the opportunity for the conservation and management of cultural heritage to contribute to Southeast Asian communities’ inclusive growth. The idea is for heritage institutions, NGOs, civil society organizations, professionals and researchers from the region and the United Kingdom to exchange insights gleaned from field experiences.

This project forms part of Cultural Heritage for Inclusive Growth (CH4IG), a British Council supported initiative which aims to develop and promote the value and role of cultural heritage in its widest sense for improving livelihoods. CH4IG is fully committed to fostering an environment conducive to long-term inclusive growth through a people-centred approach that responds to local contexts and respects cultural diversity.
