Our Fellowship Programme is a valuable part of life at ICCROM. Since its inception, it has brought fresh perspectives, facilitated the exchange of knowledge, and stimulated new avenues of research to enrich the field of heritage conservation.

Through the programme, senior professionals who are nationals of our Member States or working in organizations therein undertake a study period at ICCROM to pursue their own research. So far this year, we have welcomed seven new fellows from six countries:

  • Mesut Dinler (Turkey) will be carrying out his fellowship until 30 April 2022 on the topic The role of urban heritage in urban dynamics
  • Marta Gomez Ubierna (Spain) will be with us until 30 June 2022 and will work on the topic Developing an integrated risk-management framework to preserve public art collections
