Seven new interns on board!

Since the creation of our Internship and Fellows Programme in 2002, more than one hundred and fifty people have benefitted from the experience. This month we welcome seven new interns, who will join our team for the following months:

• Mr José Dias Cardoso from Portugal will be carrying out his online internship in the Programmes Unit from 10 January to 10 April 2022. Mr Dias Cardoso will assist with various activities on "Sustainability and Built Heritage" in particular publications and online and field-based training courses. Cardoso holds an Integrated Master Degree in Architecture from University of Lisbon (2014) and followed the Erasmus Joint Master Programme in Architecture Landscape and Archaeology from the Sapienza University of Rome.
• Mr Isaac Afrifa from Ghana will be carrying out his online internship in the Strategic Unit from 18 January to 15 April 2022. Mr Afrifa will assist with various activities of the Unit, particularly in research, data handling, analysis and graphic visualization. Afrifa holds a Master Degree in Tourism Economics and Management from the University of Bologna (Italy). 
• Mr Jhonatan Porto Sierra from Colombia will be carrying out his internship in the programme for Latin America and the Caribbean from 1 February to 29 April 2022. In this capacity, Mr Porto Sierra will provide assistance aimed at enhancing the overall activities of the programme. He holds a Master degree in World Heritage Studies from Brandenburg University of Technology (Germany).
• Ms Vallari Joshi from India will bring her experience in the RE-ORG programme from 1 February to 29 April 2022. Ms Joshi holds a Postgraduate diploma in Preventive Conservation from the Indira Gandhi National Center of Arts (India). While at ICCROM, she will provide assistance in enhancing the overall activities of RE-ORG: the step-by-step approach to reorganizing museum storage.
• Ms Hilary Wight from Canada will be carrying out her internship in the programme Our Collections Matter from 1 February to 29 April 2022. She holds a Master Degree in Public History from the University of Bristol (UK) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Cultural Heritage Conservation from the Sir Sandford Fleming College (Canada).
• Ms Yurim Yeong from Korea will start her internship in the programme First Aid and Resilience for cultural heritage in times of crisis (FAR) from 1 February until 29 April 2022. She will provide assistance in enhancing the overall activities of the FAR Programme. She holds a Master of Arts from the Brandenburg University of Technology (Germany).
• Ms Houda Ben Younes from Tunisia who will be carrying out her online internship in the ICCROM-Sharjah Office from 7 February to 6 May 2022. She will provide assistance with the overall activities of the Policy Projects and Studies carried out in ICCROM-Sharjah. More specifically, she will contribute to the MEDINA initiative and the publication of MEDINA webinars proceedings. Ms Ben Younes holds a Ph.D in Architecture from the National School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tunis and has worked as Postdoctoral researcher at the German Archaeological Institute of Rome.
