On 21 June, ICCROM hosted a bilateral meeting between Italy and Myanmar and a seminar on "Integrated Conservation of Urban Heritage and Inclusive and Intelligent Cities: possible synergies between Italy and Myanmar, the Yangon Laboratory," in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Yangon Region, Mr U Phyo Min Thein, and under the auspices of the Associazione ITALIA-BIRMANIA.INSIEME with the participation of the Faculty of Architecture, La Sapienza University of Rome and other guests. Stefano De Caro, ICCROM's Director-General, addressed the seminar, attended by Aparna Tandon, Project Manager, Collections Unit; Gamini Wijesurya, Project Manager, Sites Unit; Joseph King, Sites Unit Director; and Maria Teresa Iaquinta, Liaison Officer (Co-operation with Italy).
