On 5 March 2024, ICCROM Director-General Aruna Francesca Maria Gujral received a visit from Carlotta del Bianco, President of Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco, and Simone Giacometti, General Secretary.
The Director-General engaged in discussions meant to strengthen collaboration and explore avenues for joint initiatives across various ICCROM programmes and expressed commitment to join hands and explore concrete joint actions to empower youth, particularly in the African Region.
The Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco is a non-profit institution based in Florence with a mission to foster cultural exchange by promoting mutual understanding, creating networks, promoting cultural diplomacy and youth empowerment.
With a shared commitment to the power of culture as a driver for dialogue, together, we are eager to fortify the preservation of cultural heritage for the benefit of all.
Our active participation in past editions of the international 'World in Florence' event organized by the Fondazione underlines ICCROM's commitment to promoting global collaboration in heritage conservation. We look forward to participating in the next edition, scheduled for November 2024.
