THE WORLD IN FLORENCE

We are happy to announce the second edition of the International Festival of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions of the World and Talking Places®, The World in Florence.

The World in Florence Festival of Talking Places is a unique opportunity for meeting, exchanging and updating on the theme of heritage as a vehicle for peace and social cohesion. In a hybrid format, it brings together in Florence leading names in the international debate on issues related to the use of cultural heritage: from Francesco Bandarin, architect and UNESCO Deputy Director General for Culture (2010- 2018), to Aparna Tandon, Senior Program Head, ICCROM. These are just some of the participants who testify with their presence the adherence of ICOMOS, ICCROM, and UNESCO to the policies of culture and peace that the Del Bianco Foundation has been pursuing for many years.

Experts will make the Festival an unmissable and high-profile appointment on topics such as the challenges to be faced for constructing an increasingly inclusive cultural heritage and vehicle for peace, using heritage and respect for territories' identities, and innovative and respectful travel methods and the need for targeted educational policies for the new generations. And it is no coincidence that, in the Festival's very stimulating and evocative setting, Tuscan students can get to know and be involved in educational games on heritage. Peace is built with an active commitment to respect for differences: encounters and intercultural exchange are the basis for making this path.
