The Bibliographic Database of the Conservation Information Network (BCIN) – one of the most important tools for retrieving bibliographic information on cultural heritage conservation – is now available in French and Spanish.

For the past 35 years, BCIN has integrated the library catalogues of key international players (ICCROM, Getty Conservation Institute, Canadian Conservation Institute, ICOMOS) and promoted their document delivery services to broaden access to specialist material.

Making the database easily searchable in French and Spanish furthers this mission of broadening access to conservation resources.

In 2021, we relaunched a modernized BCIN. Offering access to more than 260 000 references from several leading institutions, the upgraded database is easier to search and comes with the features users expect from modern online library catalogues.

Part of the refresh has also been the development of new promotional materials in English, French and Spanish (located in the sidebar). Check them out and share them to spread the word about this fantastic resource at your fingertips.
