I’m pleased to share with you an exciting training opportunity connected to our project "Defending Art: Italy and the International Security of Cultural Heritage" funded by Italy's Ministry of University and Research.
We have launched the first edition of a seasonal school on cultural heritage protection, for senior BA, MA, and PhD students:
PEACE – ProtEcting Art in situations of armed Conflict and Emergency
Pisa, 15–19 September 2025
The program will explore the protection of cultural heritage from multiple perspectives, including International Law, International Relations, Security Studies, as well as heritage studies in the humanities and management fields. The school will feature lectures, case-based presentations, simulations, documentary screenings, debates, and field visits. The program includes renowned international guests. Participation fees are based on ISEE (an indicator of the applicant’s household income and assets) and include all activities, tutoring, reference materials, accommodation, and meals.
Applications are open until July 27th.
