New Conservation Resources in Open Access

The ICCROM Library is providing a constantly growing set of Open Access resources in conservation through its catalogue interface. These include papers from the most recent ICOM CC triennial meetings, 2011-2017, as well as a multitude of scholarly and peer-reviewed research journals, all freely available at no charge under Open Access.

ICOM-CC Publications Online Platform

The new ICOM-CC Publications Online Platform was inaugurated at the ICOM-CC 18th Triennial Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, last September 2017. The inaugural contents consisted of the Preprints from the Triennial Conferences in Lisbon (2011) and in Melbourne (2014).

Now, the ICOM-CC Triennial Preprints from the 2017 Conference are also available in Open Access on the platform, in celebration of the ICOM-CC 50th Anniversary (1967-2017).

Ever since the first ICOM-CC Meeting in 1967, ICOM-CC has published the preprints from its Triennial Conferences, many of which are no longer available for purchase. Over the past few years, ICOM-CC has worked with the Getty Conservation Institute and the Getty Research Institute to digitize most of the past preprints in order to offer them in Open Access. This digitization project will continue over the next couple of years.
