ICCROM expresses its growing concern about the ongoing impact of the conflict in Ukraine for both its people and its cultural heritage, and has been active according to its mandate in supporting heritage professionals to protect the heritage in this difficult period.
This support will continue, as ICCROM works with international partners, such as UNESCO, the Prince Claus Fund, and local partners in Ukraine on the translation of key publications focused on the protection of cultural heritage in crisis situations. Together with this, ICCROM will be providing training for assessing damage, risks and needs for movable and immovable heritage, and collaborating with our international, regional and local partners to provide necessary advice on other ongoing efforts to safeguard heritage.

ICCROM remains steadfast in its commitment to the people facing this ongoing conflict and condemns the targeting of cultural heritage within its Member States.
