Books have a quiet way of building bridges – between cultures, generations, and young minds discovering the world for the first time. This spirit was beautifully reflected in the recent donation from Lifetree Culture Promotion Center, Sinomaps Press, and China Children’s Press & Publication Group (CCPPG) to ICCROM’s Heritage Education Library

Presented formally with a donation ceremony during the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in April 2026, this thoughtful contribution enriches an expanding international collection dedicated to inspiring children and young readers to explore cultural heritage, conservation, and shared human stories. Each book is more than a publication– it is an invitation for curiosity, understanding, and respect for the diversity of cultures around the world.

ICCROM Library

Through the Heritage Education Library project, ICCROM works to make high-quality, multilingual resources accessible to educators, students, and researchers everywhere. With every new donation, the library becomes more inclusive, diverse, and better equipped to spark meaningful learning experiences that connect younger generations to heritage.

This donation strengthens the cultural and linguistic richness of the collection, while symbolizing the growing global momentum behind heritage education. Alongside China’s contribution, countries including Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Russian Federation, Slovenia, Spain, Tanzania, Uruguay, and Vietnam have donated books or expressed their commitment to supporting the initiative in the years ahead. Together, these partnerships are helping shape a truly global resource for future generations.

We warmly thank Lifetree Culture Promotion Center, Sinomaps Press, and China Children’s Press & Publication Group for their generous support and shared vision in bringing heritage closer to children worldwide. Their contribution is a powerful reminder that preserving the past begins with educating the future.

ICCROM Library donation

We invite publishers, organizations, and individuals around the world to join this journey. By donating children’s books related to culture, history, and heritage, you can help us continue building a library where stories connect people, cultures inspire understanding, and the guardians of tomorrow first discover the value of our shared heritage.
