Connecting Communities and Collections
ICCROM is pleased to invite proposals for innovative local field projects aimed at strengthening and showcasing the benefits of Southeast Asia’s rich and diverse heritage through Collections, Conservation, and Communities. This is an opportunity to create positive and lasting change for present and future generations in Southeast Asia, by making concrete contributions to advance the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to former participants of ICCROM’s CollAsia programme working for museums, galleries, libraries, archives, or other organizations in charge of heritage collections in Southeast Asia, and seeking to implement community-based projects using their collections.
The projects may take the form of co-curated, interactive exhibitions; public programmes and events mediated around collections; applied research; documentary films or other engaging activities promoting the wellbeing and development of communities.
Furthermore, projects must highlight the essential role of conservation in ensuring that heritage collections remain in good condition, accessible, and ready to use.
Selected proposals will receive a grant from ICCROM to support the implementation of the project. A selection committee will evaluate applications through a competitive process.
How to apply?
Applicants are required to read and understand the application guidelines before completing a project proposal form, which includes a mandatory official endorsement. Completed forms can be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org
Proposals that are incomplete or do not follow the application guidelines will not be considered for selection.
