Modern Heritage of Africa (MoHoA) will host two new symposia over the next two years, and has issued a Call for Papers for the first, the International Symposium on the Modern Heritage of Africa. The symposium, which is co-coordinated by Prof Edward Denison, will take place from 22−24 September 2021 online and at the University of Cape Town, to coincide with South Africa Heritage Day 2021.

Debido al avance de la pandemia a nivel mundial, el primer taller local de RE-ORG Chile sobre la Salvaguarda de las colecciones en depósitos, que tenía que haberse celebrado de forma presencial en las instalaciones del MHNV, se llevará a cabo en formato virtual. Profesionales de 13 museos del Centro y Sur de Chile desarrollarán y compartirán sus respectivos planes de reorganización de depósitos con el objetivo de alcanzar los principales criterios de calidad definidos por el método RE-ORG.

Alors que la pandémie mondiale se poursuit, le premier atelier local RE-ORG Chili : Sauvegarde des collections dans les réserves, initialement prévu dans les locaux du MHNV, se déroulera entièrement en ligne. Des professionnels de 13 musées du centre et du sud du Chili se rencontreront virtuellement pour élaborer et partager leurs plans de réorganisation des réserves afin de répondre aux critères de qualité définis par la méthode RE-ORG.

As the global pandemic rolls on, the first local RE-ORG Chile workshop: Safeguarding collections in storage that was supposed to take place in person at the MHNV's premises, will be held in fully virtual format. Professionals from 13 museums in Central and Southern Chile will develop and share their respective storage reorganization plans to meet the key quality criteria defined by the RE-ORG method.

El objetivo de este Primer Seminario es poner en co- mún los criterios de intervención y procesos metodoló- gicos que rigen las intervenciones sobre el patrimonio cultural en piedra. Se expondrán casos de estudio que permitan debatir sobre el estado de la cuestión tanto en España como en México, países representativos de dos continentes diferentes, contrastando experiencias y estableciendo un diálogo sobre la forma de abordar las distintas problemáticas de conservación en entornos urbanos y arqueológicos.

La Tavola Rotonda su "Investire nei giovani per una partnership euro-africana,  un anno dopo la Conferenza dei Rettori delle Università Africane" è un'opportunità per scambiare opinioni e trarre insegnamento dalla Conferenza dello scorso anno e dalla situazione attuale dovuta all'emergenza globale COVID. The virtual Round Table on "Investing in young people for a Euro-African partnership, one year after the Conference of the Rectors of African Universities" is an opportunity to exchange views and learn from last year's Conference and the current situation due to the global COVID emergency. Ritsumeikan University, DMUCH, and ICCROM invite you to participate in our online workshop on Good Practices for Disaster Risk Management of Cultural Heritage. This workshop aims to showcase good practices undertaken by the former participants of the International Training Course on Disaster Risk Management of Cultural Heritage (ITC) and discuss the future directions based on lessons learnt. The presenters for this workshop were selected through a review of submitted applications. An internationally acclaimed jury will select two presenters with awards for best practices in disaster risk management of cultural heritage during the workshop. Please do not miss this opportunity.
