Description

Community Museums provide tangible evidence of Sudan's rich history and cultural diversity and point the way to its cultural future.

This webinar presents the WSCM project dedicated to supporting the protection, post-conflict recovery, and restoration of three Community Museums in Western Sudan, enabling them to provide for the educational and cultural needs of their communities. The project aimed to help ensure the museum buildings and enclosures are protected and fit for purpose, their contents are conserved and recorded, their displays attractive and engaging for communities because these were well researched, explained, and designed. The project also aimed to set standards, in three cultural hubs, of expectation and goals for government support, internal and external funders.
