The ICCROM Library offers free access to researchers and the general public. Please present a valid photo ID at the entrance for access.

Users interested in receiving scanned copies of Library materials listed in the ONLINE CATALOGUE are gently asked to fill in the following the form.

If you experience access issues with the Library catalogue, this is usually due to security measures; please contact library@iccrom.org.

As of 13 April 2026, ICCROM’s temporary premises will be relocated to Piazza di Porta Portese no. 6. The ICCROM Library will remain open to the public at its current location, with access from Via del Porto 13, until the end of May 2026 (subject to any changes), with the following opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30–13:00 and 13:45–17:00.

In June and July 2026, access will be limited to the following days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, during the usual opening hours: 9:30–13:00 and 13:45–17:00.

Please note – The ICCROM Library does not lend paper materials. Paper materials may be accessed only in the reading room. Instead, for some electronic media loan is available.  Besides, the Library offers Reference and Document Delivery Services.

Established in 1961 in Rome, the ICCROM Library is the leading conservation Library in the world. Our mandate to collect, study and circulate information is embedded in Article 1 of ICCROMs Statutes.
