ICCROM, together with ICOMOS and IUCN – the Advisory Bodies to the World Heritage Committee – and UNESCO, have launched the French translation of the Enhancing Our Heritage Toolkit 2.0 (EoH 2.0), making this key resource for World Heritage management accessible to an even wider francophone community.
The toolkit offers a practical and adaptable World Heritage-specific methodology to assess how effectively cultural, natural, and mixed sites are being managed.
EoH 2.0 is built around 12 easy-to-use, flexible tools that can be applied individually or together. It helps managers evaluate how well heritage values are protected, how management systems perform, and where improvements are needed – from governance and planning to resources and day-to-day operations. Each tool comes with clear guidance and reflection questions to support practical application in diverse contexts.
With the launch of the French edition, EoH 2.0 takes another step towards more inclusive, effective and globally shared approaches to heritage management, ensuring that language is no longer a barrier and empowering a broader range of site managers, institutions and practitioners to strengthen conservation and management practices on the ground.
Practitioners and institutions can now access the French edition of the toolkit and start using it in their daily work.
