South Korean Cultural Heritage Administration decided to commit 340 million won every year to further the development of the education, research and preservation of the heritage.

The CHA signed a trust fund agreement with International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property shortened as ICCROM, at the national palace museum of Korea on October 7.

To mark the UAE’s Civil Aviation Day and the anniversary of the Imperial Airways aircraft’s first landing at the region’s first airport ‘Sharjah Air Station -- Al Mahatta’ in 1932 that served as a connecting bridge between the East and the West, the Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) is launching an array of activities.

To commentate the special occasion, visitors can view the new exhibition titled ‘Sharjah Air Station: The First Landing 90 Years Ago’ which runs for a period of one year starting October 3, 2022, to shine light on the region’s first airport that connected the United Kingdom with India and Australia.

Manal Ataya, Director General of SMA opened the exhibition in the presence of Dr Webber Ndoro, Director General of ICCROM, and Dr Zaki Aslan, Director ICCROM-Sharjah.

From 24 to 28 July 2022, the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH), in partnership with the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), organised a Capacity Building workshop on World Heritage Risk Management in the Arab Region, at its premises in Manama, Bahrain.

Athabasca University (AU) played a leadership role in bringing together some of the world’s leading voices in heritage conversation education and training.

AU hosted the 2022 ICCROM Communication and Teaching Skills in Conservation and Science Summer School, which took place July 4 to 15 in St. Albert, Alta. The event was co-hosted with the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM). The centre works to promote the conservation of all forms of cultural heritage in every region of the world.

Делегати міжнародних організацій ICCROM та ICOMOS провели зустріч із Максимом Козицьким, керівником Львівської обласної військової адміністрації (ЛОВА), на якій домовилися налагодити ефективнішу співпрацю з Львівщиною, зокрема, у воєнний час.

ICOMOS and ICCROM undertook a joint mission to Ukraine from 9 to 16 July 2022 in order to provide support to the efforts made by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, as well as heritage organisations and professionals in the country, in the current conflict situation.

اجتمع 16 مشاركًا من المملكة العربية السعودية في دورة لمدة أسبوعين ، عقدت في الفترة من 12 إلى 23 يونيو 2022 ، لتوسيع فهمهم للمفاهيم والمنهجيات الأساسية للتراث الصناعي ، إلى جانب الآليات والأطر المتعلقة بفهرسته وتوثيقه.

The Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage had the pleasure of welcoming the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) Director-General Dr Webber Ndoro and Dr Zaki Aslan, Director of ICCROM-Sharjah to its premises today. The mutual collaboration between ICCROM and ARC-WH in relation to the preservation of cultural heritage in the Arab region was discussed and a number of initiatives are envisaged for the upcoming year.
