Since the creation of our Internship and Fellows Programme in 2002, more than one hundred and fifty people have benefitted from the experience. This month we welcome seven new interns, who will join our team for the following months
On 9 December 2021, ICCROM Director-General Webber Ndoro, Liaison Officer Anna Zeichner and Director of Partnership and Communication Joseph King met Ms Carlotta Del Bianco, Vice President of the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation, and Mr Simone Giometti, Secretary General of the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation.
On 29 November ICCROM received a visit from Muhammad Juma, Chief of the Africa Unit of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, and Dawson Munjeri of Zimbabwe. On 29 November the Director-General, Webber Ndoro met with Ola Wetterberg, Director of the Centre for Critical Heritage Studies, Department of Conservation at the University of Gothenburg and member of the ICCROM Council. Also in attendance were José Luiz Pedersoli, Manager of the Strategic Planning Unit and Valerie Magar, Manager of the Programmes Unit.
On Friday 2 July 2021, Director-General Webber Ndoro was honoured to meet with H.E. Hassan Nadhim, Minister of Culture in Iraq, and Mr Zaid Al-Ani, First Secretary of the Embassy of Iraq in Rome. Zaki Aslan, Director, ICCROM-Sharjah Regional Office and Rohit Jigyasu, Project Manager, Programmes Unit, also attended online and in person, respectively.
On 21 May 2021, the Director-General, Webber Ndoro, was honoured to receive a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan led by H.E. On Thursday 5 March at 15:00 the Director-General received the visit of the Ambassador of Israel, H.E. Dror Eydar.
On 3 March at 10:30 the Director-General received the visit of H.E. Mammad Ahmadzada, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who was joined by Mr Elvin Ashrafzade, Second Secretary at the Embassy.
On 12th of February 2020 the Director-General received the visit of Ms Daniela Porro, Soprintendente Speciale Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio di Roma, and Alessandro Mascherucci, Architect in charge of the Portion of San Michele Complex.
On 7th of February 2020 the Director-General received the visit of the Ambassador of Angola, H.E. Maria de Fátima Jardim.
