A meeting organised in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the World Heritage Convention in Africa

The Government of the Republic of South Africa, in collaboration with the African World Heritage Fund, the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, ICCROM and the Robben Island Museum, are pleased to announce an Expert Meeting on the theme “World Heritage in Africa: looking back…moving ahead”.
The meeting is being organised on the occasion of the worldwide celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the World Heritage Convention under the theme “The next 50: World Heritage as a source for resilience, humanity and Innovation”. The meeting will bring together heritage institutions and experts, local communities, youth, and development sectors.
