On 10 March 2022, ICCROM's Director-General, Webber Ndoro had the honour of welcoming Alessandro De Pedys, Deputy Director General/Principal Director for the promotion of the Italian culture and language for the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). Deputy Director General De Pedys was accompanied by Paolo Bartorelli, Head of Office VI – Multilateral cultural cooperation, archaeological missions. Also in attendance on behalf of ICCROM was Anna Zeichner, Liaison Officer.
The meeting was an opportunity to introduce Deputy Director General De Pedys to the work of ICCROM as one of MAECI's longstanding partners, and to discuss the continuation of mutual collaboration for the promotion of culture and its important role in addressing contemporary challenges.
