On 4 August 2022, ICCROM had the honour of receiving Deputy Permanent Representative, Deputy Chief of Mission Rodney M. Hunter and Samuel Rothenberg, Alternate Permanent Representative and Political/Economic Officer, from the US Mission to the United Nations Agencies in Rome.

This year marks two decades of contributing to training new heritage professionals through the ICCROM Internship and Fellows Programme. A new group of interns and fellows joins us each quarter; in the second quarter of 2022, we welcomed seven new interns and one volunteer, representing seven countries.

Today ICCROM staff met with Mr Kilbai Lee, working at the UNESCO World Heritage Centre as a secondment from the Republic of Korea, CHA. We discussed possible ways to strengthen our collaborations on capacity building for World Heritage.
On Tuesday 10 May, the Director-General, Webber Ndoro was honoured to receive a delegation from Australia led by Mr James Larsen, Deputy Secretary, Department of Agriculture Water and the Environment, Ms Kristy Domitrovic, Advisor at the Permanent Delegation of Australia to UNESCO and Mr Angus Minns, Second Secretary at the Australian Embassy in Italy.
On 21 March, the ICCROM Regional Office in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, received a delegation from the Republic of Korea. Led by H.E. Seokgu Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the United Arab Emirates, they met with the Director of the ICCROM Regional Office, Zaki Aslan and staff to discuss future possible collaborations in the field of cultural heritage.
